Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Promethia (promethia.dev) is operated by Antonio Porrúa, sole trader based in Spain ("Promethia", "we"). Contact:support@promethia.dev.
2. Services
We provide technical review services performed by a human engineer:
- Pre-launch audit (€400, fixed): review of one application's security, authentication, data handling and deployment setup, delivered as a written report with a video walkthrough and a 30-minute call.
- Rescue (from €150): the €150 booking covers human diagnosis of one incident and minor fixes. Larger fixes are quoted before any work begins, and the booking payment counts toward the quoted total.
- Priority pass (€10/month): a subscription that keeps a fast-response lane open for your project. At onboarding we record your stack, hosting and access path and keep that file current; the first-response SLA improves from 48-72h to 24-48h, counted in business days (Europe/Madrid). If you choose to leave read access to your repository granted, that is optional, revocable by you at any time, used only to deliver services you request, and covered by the confidentiality terms below.
- Fix verification (€150, fixed) anddone-for-you fixes (quoted per complexity): optional follow-ups to an audit.
Every engagement starts with the intake form at/start. We reply with a plan and a firm price before any payment is due.
3. Payments
Prices are in euros; for customers outside Europe the same amounts are offered in US dollars, and the currency shown at checkout applies. Applicable taxes are indicated on the invoice or at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Audits are paid in two halves: €200 to book a slot and €200 on delivery of the report. Rescues and quoted work are paid as agreed in the quote. The priority pass renews monthly and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period.
4. Cancellations and refunds
The audit booking payment is fully refundable until we begin work. Once the report has been delivered, payments are non-refundable. By booking, you request that the service begins within the 14-day withdrawal period; once fully performed, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, as permitted by EU consumer law. If we fail to deliver an agreed service, you get a full refund of what you paid for it.
5. Your obligations
You confirm that you own, or have the right to share, the code and materials you give us access to, and that they contain nothing unlawful. Read access to a repository or export is required for audits; we never need production credentials to audit.
6. Scope and limitations — read this
An audit is a professional technical judgment about a specific version of your application at a specific point in time. It isnot a guarantee that the application is free of defects or vulnerabilities, not a certification, not insurance, and not a promise that nothing will ever break. Software and its environment change; findings reflect what a diligent senior engineer could identify within the agreed scope and time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
7. Confidentiality and intellectual property
We treat your code, data and business information as confidential and use them only to deliver the service. We relinquish access when the engagement ends. The report we deliver is yours. We may reuse anonymized, non-identifying lessons (e.g. "a common webhook mistake") in our own material; never your code, name or product details without written consent.
8. SLAs
Response SLAs (48-72h standard, 24-48h with the priority pass) refer to the first qualified human response to a request, in business days (Europe/Madrid), not to the resolution of the issue.
9. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the version published at promethia.dev/terms at the time you order applies to that order. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
